Democrats in Congress want to spend half-a-billion of our tax dollars to teach our kids, starting from kindergarten, “environmental literacy,” according to a CNSNews report.

The proposed legislation would set “federal mandates on school curricula,” starting from kindergarten, that would require educators to “conform to a specific worldview of what environmental literacy means,” according to the CNSNews story published today.

Critics of the bill, including some Republicans in Congress, say that this legislation is nothing more than propaganda in our schools.

Here’s an idea for you esteemed members of Congress:

How about taking that same amount of money and applying it to equipping our public schools with state-of-the-art science labs, for instance?  Congress should be thinking more about how to really provide true education for our kids rather than their pet projects sponsored by special interest groups!
