Remember when Colin Powell publically endorsed then-candidate Obama for president?

Who knows how much, or even if, Powell’s public statement of support helped get Obama elected, but it now appears that Powell, a Republican and former secretary of state for Bush, is having his doubts about Obama’s agenda.

In an excerpt from CNN’s “State of the Union” hosted by John King, Powell expressed concern about Obama’s spending telling King, “I never would have believed that we would have budgets that are running into the mult-trillions…and that we are amassing a huge, huge debt,” urging the President “to start really taking a very, very hard look at what the cost of all this is,”  according to the NY Times and Washington Times.

Powell also expressed concern over Obama’s trend to super-size the Federal government.
