President Obama’s call to the astronauts of the space shuttle Endeavour yesterday “was probably one of the most awkward” in the history of our space program, according to AOL News.
After cancelling NASA’s new spaceship programs, essentially ending the US ability to go into space, Obama told our astronauts that his “commitment to NASA is unwavering” and that “he sees space exploration as ‘so important,'” according to AOL News.
The astronauts, who know that NASA and their jobs are in jeopardy because of Obama’s decisions, did not respond or react directly to the president. Clearly all the president has “commitment” to is another photo op in a weak attempt to bamboozle the ignorant.
