President Obama gave a good speech. Now, I just hope that he will be able to take those words and have them translated into action. So far, he is doing that by overhauling MMS. But as far as holding BP accountable to pay the tab on damages plus formulating an energy policy, those are questionable because he’s up against a lot of resistance in Congress. I don’t think that some members of Congress get it yet about the seriousness of the situation. They’re still too busy playing politics as usual. Now is the time for Obama to get tough with Congress, including members of his own party, and demand that they do something.
