In November, one of the most contentious campaigns in our history could end in catastrophe. Source: Arizona’s voting outrage is a warning to the nation – The Washington Post

 

The Washington Post is warning that the mess that occurred in Arizona could spread across the nation by time we all go to the polls in November.  Voters from selected districts had their polling places closed down to save money, at least that was the official story.  But given the fact that many of these districts were minority, the money excuse doesn’t wash.

Many of these voters either stayed home or had to wait for hours on-line after traveling out of their way to vote.  And results were given before these folks got a chance to vote, disenfranchising them from the process.  Would it have made a difference?

You bet it would have!

With so much at stake this election – Supreme Court picks, jobs, preventing World War III, for instance – everyone’s vote counts!  We all must stay vigilant and not allow our States to shut down polls because of money, or for any reason.  The more people who vote, the better!
