Here is an EASY way to make a really delicious smoothie which is low in calories and high in energy…feel free to PASS THIS RECIPE ON to friends and family. I use bananas and fresh pineapple (because I really like them) but you can ANY FRUITS YOU WANT (just add a half-cup or so of each fruit). Here’s what you do:
In a blender, add:
- 1 heaping tablespoon soy protein powder (plain or any flavor you like)
- 1 peeled banana (medium size)
- 1 round slice pineapple (I use fresh but canned is also okay)
- 1 cup water
Blend on highest blender speed for about 30 seconds until everything is blended and mixture is frothy. Pour into a glass and serve.
NOTE: If you want a chilled smoothie, just add a couple of ice cubes to the blender or use cold water. Also, I recommend that you mix your smoothie fresh every time; even though you can mix up a batch and store the smoothie in a pitcher in your refrigerator, I wouldn’t recommend it with fruits like bananas.
